Intro to Needle Felting

An inviting introduction to the wonderfully tactile world of needle felting — a craft where you quite literally stab your way to art! In this beginner‑friendly workshop, you’ll receive your own felting starter kit to take home, along with access to a huge selection of colorful wool roving to experiment with during class. We’ll talk through the basics of tools, materials, and safe technique.

Throughout the session, I’ll guide you step‑by‑step as you design and create a flat felted artwork. You’ll learn how to build shapes, blend colors, and add details that bring your piece to life. I’ll demonstrate how to make a simple penguin or another charming little bird, but the project is completely open‑ended — you’re welcome to follow along or dream up something entirely your own. Animals, landscapes, abstract designs… if you can imagine it, you can felt it!
